I had a 1972 Grandville for 3 years, in the early 1980s. It was a sharp car, with a sandstone body color, full black vinyl roof, and black pin stripes. It also had the rally wheels, and the 455 V-8. It was also a 4-door pillarless hardtop, which was nice on warm days with all the windows down. People in the back seat had plenty of room (I think the 4-door may have had a longer wheelbase, or some other difference, compared to the 2-door, for the extra room). However, there was some "mystery noise" that would come from somewhere inside the dashboard from time to time that would drive me nuts. I had the dashboard taken apart several times to try to fix it, but the noise didn't go away. I finally got rid of the car when I went to graduate school, as I couldn't afford any car, let alone the Grandville. (It averaged about 10-11 miles per gallon in city driving, and about 15-16 on the expressway.)

My dad bought one back in 1973 brand new from the dealer when I was 7 years old . It was slate green. Very nice luxury car. I've never seen another one since then.

I like this guy . Nice enthusiasm not too much knows and respects the model . Soft sell approach is nice This was my first car I paid 450$ In the summer of 1986 Drove to school in Florida Good times , I was 15 so it hauled ass , but I'm sure now a days I was just that huge 4 barrel that sucked in small children ,that made it feel fast.

nice car, but what is with the antenna on the driver's fender?? The antenna was in the windshield, never an external antenna. If it had a power antenna option it would be on the right front fender. It's like a wart on its nose... I can't stop looking at it.

I have never seen a 1971-75 Grandville w/an antenna-power or manual. My heavily optioned 1975 Grandville convertible has the antenna in the windshield

That antenna was added at some point, it’s not factory style.

okay - so if it had a power antenna it's been replaced with this fixed one, and even if it did have the external antenna - it's still on the wrong fender!

No such thing as a "big block" Pontiac. Take a 350, 400, and 455 of the same year and set them side by side and without looking at the engine codes you couldn't tell which one was which. These people need to get educated. TS

2:10 this video is a demonstration on a cyclist that is " too good " to wear a helmet. He's not " too good " to prevent a traumatic brain injury and get his brains splattered all over the concrete ! ( Call me biased. I have had 2 traumatic brain injuries, Memorial Day 2015, and March 15, 2017. I was wearing a helmet both times ! The streets of Dallas are a slaughterhouse, I've been to the school of hard knocks TWICE ! ) David S.
