Are all the A/C Compressors the same in your kit with the compressor bracket being the differentiator? I have a Ford Modular Engine from a 2001 Lincoln Navigator swapped into my truck and I don’t mind making a custom compressor bracket as long as the compressor would still work for my truck. You also mentioned a auxiliary switch option on your climate control panel given within the kit, I have a custom back wall on my cab that uses a powered slide down Crewmax Tundra rear window. Would I be able to put my up and down window switch in your control panel in that auxiliary spot?

Hi i like this system. But my truck dose not have factory AC my truck is 1976 f100 custom so mine does not have the big evaporator housing all i have is the blower motor there i do not have the big hole ao how does it mount?

The evap. unit will mount to the firewall inside the cabin, this kit will include the firewall plate used for the 76 f-100's w/o factory air, So even though the truck didn't originally have the AC provisions at the firewall and core support our kit will have all the components needed to mount the evap. in this cabin.If you wanted to see the install instructions for this kit please visit our website www.vintageair.com then type 751160 into the search bar and the instructions will pop up.

Genius Do you mind giving a ball park about how much this job is or was. I recently had heater core and fan replaced and it was around 1400. What do you think

We do not perform installs for the public, this was an inhouse install but if asking on how long it would take to install this unit you could expect to spend 20-25 hrs for the complete install and most shops labor rate is $75-125 an hr.

The evaporator install will be the same but you would need to get a comp. bracket for the BBF, when ordering the kit we can substitute the SBF comp. bracket for the BBF comp. bracket.So yes this kit will work for a 78' Bronco w/ a big block ford (with bracket substitution)
