1973 85 hp Evinrude - Part 1 - Needs A Tune Up

I met this customer (Gary) on marketplace. I actually met him through Marketplace when I purchased a 1970 85 Hp Evinrude from him last fall. Gary asked if I work on outboard motors and I told him I do but I’m not a certified Johnson / Evinrude mechanic. He contacted me anyway wanting a tuneup on this outboard.
This video is about doing an overall health check ...Spark, Compression and Lower Unit Seal Tests to determine what this motor needs to make it run as excellent as possible.
Part 2 will involve installing those parts and fine tuning the engine to make it reliable for big water fishing.
