Normally I'm not a resto-mod fan, but this one is tastefully done and actually looks better than the original. My aunt had a '74 Malibu Classic and a cousin had a Laguna with those swivel seats. Dale could go into business making these, but I bet they're very labor-intensive and the originals are hard to find. Those old Colonnade cars were popular when new and got all used up.

@@todddenio3200 I think it was a '74 Chevelle Laguna. It didn't have the slanted nose of the '75, that I recall. But it's been a long time.

A really nice car..they are very rare..I've very few back in the day! They were ugly with the mandated impact bumpers. Very nice bodywork..this man is a master of his trade! Kindig door handles eally smooth the lines of the doors..I always liked them..nice drivetrain..Dale is a heck of a guy..his daughter still enjoys cruising with Dad..nice touch! Thnx Lou!

Those are the beast from the era! The door opener is actually a Gran Prix style. The 69' had those. Pontiac GP that is. That car definitely wasn't going to die! 47 years of ownership. 52 year old ride. Thanks you Lou, and the family for their passion and dedication to this Chevelle.🎆🏁

Lou, this is very nice! My wife had a '74 Malibu Classic when we first started dating. I thought to myself, "This will never be a classic!" But now, I wouldn't mind having this restomod in my garage. Awesome restoration and customization of this 1973 Chevrolet Malibu Classic! It looked mysterious and aggressive with that gray paint. I liked how he refined the body style, making the windshield and bumpers blend smoothly into the body, giving it a more aerodynamic and contemporary look. Nice black interior, with its simple yet elegant instrument panel adorned with wood accents, and those sporty seats with the ability to turn sideways to facilitate the driver's entry and exit. Awesome photos of the trunk, as this gives us an idea of the strong impact the vehicle received. Thank goodness it didn't go too far and he was able to restore it again, and even improve it! Plus, its 400 CI V8 engine roared pretty well with each acceleration! Finally, I loved the final ride with the beautiful scenery as a backdrop, as the owner and his daughter Jessica shared interesting anecdotes (by the way, I was struck by that analogy he made about cars being like "lipstick in many shades." That must have come from a car girl, haha). Congratulations to the owner, Mr. Waldron, for rescuing a true classic from the sad fate that befell so many in the destruction derbies! Oh, and for saving it from a biting rat, too! Haha. Best regards, Lou! And have a great new year, everyone!

This is how resto-mods should be done. Take a wrecked car that is no good and to make it special.
