A custom hood would be absolutely amazing on that. A pair of scoops that feed right into those air cleaners, and a small hump to fit the pulley for the supercharger. Could even put a hump on the other side for symmetry if that's what it takes to look right.

I use to own a 1973 Mustang with a leaded 289 HP engine. I got and a gift for teaching a neighbor English. Though I did give it back when I had to move about 200 miles away. It was only right thing to do at the time. Though I did own it for 2 years and gas at the time was $0.79 unleaded. $0.89 plus, $0.99 premium. Ya the good old days for gas prices at least.

looks like you might have belt squeal and slip issues by the position of the alternator and power steering pump that was one of my issues
@AutoEdits7 жыл бұрын
That is the stock location for those components on the 94 Mustang Cobra engine. I figured the belt on the supercharger would be the first to slip.
@mtdmmaye68617 жыл бұрын
Yep that's where mine slipped I had to go manual rack and lower the alternator. It worked then but I couldn't drop pulley size it started slipping again I wish they would make pulleys ribbed like the bigger super chargers instead of serpentine type. I enjoy your videos

@dj4monie7 жыл бұрын
Sounds about right, I think above 10 psi is where those things start making more heat than boost. From there a dry 35 hp shot of nitrous will help and allow 12-14 psi.

Love the build. Question - saw you’re planning on going with the Holley efi kit. What ecu are planning on? I didn’t think that kit worked with boost? I’m planning on doing a SC’d 351 in mine, but can’t find an efi kit that works with boost and that fits. Again, love the videos.
@AutoEdits7 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! I am running the ECU that comes with the Terminator kit. This thing is completely fine with boost... do you mean make it a "blow thru" like you would use with a Procharger or like system? Because that would need a phone call to Holley but otherwise, this system is very adaptable. Soon as I get a radiator and do some wiring, I'll be looking to fire this thing so stay tuned!
@dustinwhitesell63317 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response man! From Holley’s website, it looks like the terminator kit’s ecu has to be upgraded to their HP ecu specs to run boost? No?

@@AutoEdits sorry to bug again but what did you do for the clutch set up? Im thinking of going hydrollic. I already have my t5 out of an 80s 5.0, im using stock engine so i have to source bell housing and flywheel.
@AutoEdits5 жыл бұрын
@@lbm323 All good, I used the stock bell housing from the 94 Mustang and the McLeod slip on style hydraulic throw out bearing for the clutch setup. That just means you have to install a clutch pedal with a proper master cylinder to operate the clutch.
@lbm3235 жыл бұрын

hi Jason my name is Steve I've learned a lot from your videos I appreciate you air them but I have a couple questions I have almost the same Driveline setup that you have every time I stomp on the throttle my supercharger belt trying to work off one way or the other and I noticed on the first video I watched your tensioner was straight and then another video I watched you had it on at angle and I was wondering if there was a reason for that

How to you make the adjustmemt rod work with the alternator? I have the same setup on my 302 and the supercharger snout hit the adjustment arm
@machelesteve7 жыл бұрын
Hi Jason. Question, why did you have to make motor mounts if your mustang came with a 302 V8, I know the cobra is a 5.0, roller type block. In my 65 I also used a 5.0 to replace my 289 block just because it had the roller cam setup. This was back in 1991. Thank you look forward to your answer, love your videos.
@AutoEdits7 жыл бұрын
1973 Mustangs had a unique engine mount and frame adapter setup to any other Mustang. The engine mounts are quite a bit taller and the best option is to have the originals rebuilt but I had thrown my away years ago before learning this.

Great videos man, large Marge is going to be in charge 😆 I am curious as to if you installed header gaskets and took that green tape off? Can a person get away with out installing header gaskets or would there be to much leak,but as for the tape I imagine when you fire her up that tape will just burn into nothing. I am debating on the 174 on a 347 but it has 10-2-1 compression and I imagine this roots blowers like 9 and below. I don't know how far along you are now but do you think the 174 is worth the money?
