omg this reminds me of of my first car, a 1970 semi auto bug that was baby blue. My father and I put it back together and although it lacked a lot of modern features I loved driving this bug. It taught me about car maintenance but it also humbled me. I remember going to local shops to "fix" and "upgrade" my bug. Looking at this video now, after later owning a Lexus RX, I really wish I could go back and drive this simple yet silly little car

I own a 1973 standard. This is not a 1973. No holes on the dashboard for the padded dash. The Steering wheel is from a 1968. The seats are incorrect for the year 1973. This bug is a late 1960's bug. Bumpers are older. Not the 1968 to 1973 standard bumpers. The deck lid is from a 1967 to 1971.I am bit confused about the location of the steering. It should be on the right if it is from Europe. Hi! What country are you from? I am asking, because in Europe we had the Sandard Beetle (or Sparkafer how it was called in Germany) that came with rounded bumpers, simple steering wheel, and normal headlights. It's a mix of older generations with new ones. If you search Sparkafer on the internet you will see this was an actual model in Europe.
