This is one clean 1974 Camaro Z28/LT. With striking gold paint and some show stopping factory decals, this 1974 Camaro Z28 Type LT is hard to miss. 1974 marked the year a mid-cycle refresh was done to the Z28 Camaro , making it seven inches longer thanks to new aluminum bumpers required to meet federal safety standards. The last year for the Z28 option, the 1974 Z28 featured bold decals and a carryover drivetrain from 1973, which this car is equipped with. Powered by a 350 C.I. V8 paired to a 4-barrel carburetor, this Camaro is hard proof that performance didn't die in the 1970s, it was just harder to find. That power is connected to the rear end through a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic, delivering quick and immediate power. The Z28 graphics and the gold paint make this Camaro really stand out, only adding to this car's authenticity. The interior looks great and feels even better with the Type LT option, adding a veneer of luxury to this '70s performance machine. The tri-tone combination of brown, white, and gray only add to this car's '70s feel, but an updated Pioneer AM/FM/CD unit with updated speakers lets you crank the tunes even louder while cruising. Options fitted to this genuine Z28 include a Vintage Air A/C system, factory gauges, a center console, a remote driver's mirror, factory-style decals, an updated Pioneer AM/FM/CD radio with updated Pioneer speakers, and a mean-sounding dual exhaust system. The car rides on some sweet factory-style Z28 steel wheels on top of some stock-looking SXP GT RWL tires. As far as '70s performance goes, it doesn't get much better than this.

I love these, 245 hp L82 4 bolt main cap motor was just behind the SD 455 for the 74 Trans Am of 290 hp..That was pretty much it for no for the 70s.They were pretty build able w/ the heavy duty blocks. With a manual transmission these were fun & you could build a cool restore mod w/ some coil overs & a little engine add ons.

One of my favorite Z28’s … Love the one year only graphics. The catalytic converter free L82 was a strong runner

After graduating High School, my best friend purchased a new 1974 Z28. It was his dream and he did all he could to customize his car. He died several years ago. Rest in GODS care.🙂

74 was the only year with the huge chrome bumpers, people didn’t like them back then they made stock cars outta them, my father n laws trophy is a 74 Camaro with these bumpers! his stock car was also a 74 Z28 ,,It’s neat now that they put huge bumpers on them back then!

A small nitpick with nearly all these '74s... Cars ordered with the D88 option (the Z28 stripes) would have deleted the fender emblems from the factory. They should display either the emblems or the stripes, but not both. Almost all 'restored' '74 Z28s are presented with both emblems and stripes on the car. I have seen some '74s claiming to be 'original' this way, but the only legit way that should have happened is if the car came with the emblems from the factory, but a customer wanted the D88 option and had it added by the dealer. In that case, D88 should not show on the build sheet.

I really like this Zee, it looks really great. The restoration My mom had 1 74' similar to this, with same sand colored paint. I owned a Bright red one with Black Interior. It was factory equipped with red carpeting and red seat accents. Just for the record, this interior is not a factory color combination that could be ordered in 1974 . The Steering wheel, door panels and seat covering appears to be newer, possibly from 1980. The 74,s all had vinyl seat bolsters. When ordered with cloth interiors, they would also have non pleated cloth inserts in the door panels. The steering wheel would not have had this texture. The kick panels would be the same color as the dash pad. Still the colors chosen for this car look really nice.

Yeah I thought the interior looked kinda weird. If they spent that much time piecing it together they should have went with black.Would have been great with the gold paint!

@@kermitfrog1650 That's way too much, you can can buy a much more original Z car for much less. This one doesn't have the right motor or interior so it's just another hot rod Camaro .

That's not true, as long as OEM parts are used it's still a factory car. This one may not be but dont claim that it needs all parts from the factory to be factory original
