Looks in good shape I just replaced the front tires on my 454 and I was surprised they were not that expensive

Oh cheap. I think it was 138 for the pair for this. That included shipping.

@@Bairleafarm Thinking back in60's up here we had alot of english tractors MF , ford were 2 most popular all diesel. IH 414, 454, 574. They were somewhat cheaper than american tractor Nuffield 10/60 10 spd 60 hp u could get for 4500 in middle 60's very popular did not stand up England I guess didn.t have fuel like america's did. Thanks for now sorry for .

The drive train was indestructible and the shift pattern was excellent for loader work. The front axle was weak for loader work. With the trans between your legs and most had the exhaust pipe under the right hand platform. The 464 would absolutely cook you in the summer, but nice in the winter. The other common issue with age was rust between the fenders and gas tank. We abused that tractor for years and it held up well, except occasionally welding the front axle back together.

@dalesiebert7093 the factory exhaust crossover under the engine on the 454 and the 464s in the diesels. But the sweeping axle made it nice row cropping.
