Absolutely beautiful!

This looks to be in mint or near mint condition. The 914 wasn't the sexiest porsche out there, but for a 4 cyl,2 liter engine, they could get up and run alright. I'll take a 1975 version, my birth year. Donations accepted. 😁

What is "mint" about it. Non-factory bodywork, modifications to just about everything and Fuchs 5 bolt alloys! Tou wouldn't know a "mint" 914 if it bit you in the ass.

Great looking custom 914. Not too sure about the dashboard and the bumper guards would have to come off if it was my car but it’s not. Definitely one of the best custom 914’s I’ve seen.

My favourite porsche after 356 speedster, on 3rd place 918.

Amazing. Back in 1999 to 2000+ I wanted one sooooo badly. Still want one. The only thing I don't like on this particular one is the stereo head unit. I think a Macintosh head unit would match the look and feel of this car better.

Very nice, that cam gear noise is a bitch though. I have rebuilt several type four engines back in the day including my own ‘74 914 and it’s really difficult to get the ‘select fit’ cam gears right.

Hey, Ross's... do you have any info on those wheel well flares? That's exactly the style I want to go for on my 914. I can't tell if that's rolled-out metal or if it's a kit. Hope you can help!
@jimohara47962 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing rolled-out metal. Kit-wise I've only ever seen bolt-on racing flares and M491 style 914-6 GT flares. I used to be a big fan for the GT flares but have really come to appreciate this more subtle look - probably because modern Porsches take this approach because it's better aerodynamically...
@johnkelley75432 жыл бұрын
@@jimohara4796 It is a sleeker look. As for aerodynamics, you're splitting cunt-hairs with a 914/4. They don't go fast enough for that to make much of a difference.
@jimohara47962 жыл бұрын
@@johnkelley7543 lol totally agree about the aerodynamics, it's just aesthetics at this point. If you recall in the 1980s the "whale tail" on the back of 911s was a popular modification as a nod to the 930's whale tail, but now you don't see it because the "tail" is retractable.

That’s referred to as Concours condition folks. CMJ
@pg91443 жыл бұрын
WRONG! Concours condition requires the car to be original or restored to that level. This 914 is cute but bears no resemblance to original. Know what you're talking about.
@MrLongboarder873 жыл бұрын
@@pg9144 WRONG!!! Concours condition cars are restored beyond how they rolled out of the factory. They are more polished, cleaner, and better assembled then any car that rolled off any factory line. What YOU described is original condition. Know what your talking about or just let a nice complement for a nice car go without it causing you to have a fit.
@jimohara47962 жыл бұрын
@@MrLongboarder87 The car has several modifications that might make concours snobs turn up their noses. As you said typically concours competitors try to restore the to "better than factory" condition, but normally that wouldn't include different wheels, dash, extra instruments, hood badge, flares, spoiler/air dam, sail panel vinyl removal, etc.
