Why stress about who is in the hall of fame? Do they even matter ? They are not the authority on rock music....they are a bunch of self proclaimed " experts" who inducted the people they like...bruce springstein and his whole family and roadies and pizza delivery man were inducted. And yet bands that truly deserve it , nothing....hall of fame is a joke! ...

But they did so much hands on work that they didn't do it the way most bands did so much more that actually they should have floated to the very very top for puting so much more of they're time money and emotional being that they should be with extreme higher ground honors than many other bands . Sometimes life is fair but not fair enough and with regards to "SWEET" ALL We can say is thank you guys thanks for all the records we can go back and listen to and all the music videos your iconic Gang of focused musicians and fans are and always will be as one ... Most people only remember sweet for their bubblegum records, blockbuster, ballroom blitz etc, but they were actually a phenomenal heavy rock band whose musicianship and Brian's vocal range could rival and British rock band from that era. Chinn and Chapman wrote their chart hits until fox on the run but their b sides were mostly album tracks written by the band. A lot of bands since took inspiration from sweet and the fact that teenagers today are listening to them 50 years after their only number one is testament to their brilliance. I would guess that anyone watching this is already well aware of their legacy but if not I would urge you to have a listen to their albums.

Yes, Saxon even covered 'Set Me Free' and Def Leppard covered 'Action' both of which were self-written Sweet songs.

Great documentary, it's a time when the BBC knew how to make great programmes unlike now. Great band and awesome stage presence. They did go on a downer after Brian's attack. Think he was in a council flat in Camden for a while.

Myself and my school mates used to act out sweet when we were in the school yard. I can remember running home from school so I could see them on crackerjack on a Friday night. It's a shame that Brian died before his time and Steve has died recently. Great group in that era and I loved there music.
