There was no Diesel Bullet in 1974. It was launched in 1993 and was called the Taurus. 60 KMPL of diesel in the day. Was cheaper than walking.

You are wrong ,Suraj diesel bike was introduced during 1980 where Lumbardini diesel engine was used in Bullet chasis .This bike was not manufactured by Royal Enfield co. but made by Suraj company.I seen in 1984 & wanted to purchase it .

Who said that, first diesel engine was invented way before you think in early times the diesel engine was used for pumps a mechanic seen that that changed the engine of petrol bullet to diesel because of mileage that gives in 1963 at selam TN. By seeing this many people modified their bike in his shop. By this a company called suraj lauched the first diesel bike in 1974.after suraj the Royal Enfield copied the and increase the mileage to 84 by tunning and launched in 1993.so this is vintage 1974 diesel engine bullet

My dad had this way back in the 80's. It was still working in the 90's but... When its winter... 😁😁😁😁...and Shillong winter is freezing cold. Tried riding it once. Heated up yhe engine, it started for five minutes and stopped rolled it downhill for the next 3kms and it still wouldnt start untit it was heated again.

I think In 1974 we don't had Diesel Engine in Royalenfield. This Engine is Greeves Company Engine. 325 cc, 6.5 BHP Top Speed 65 per Hr, 80 KMS per 1Ltr.
