Dave Herman was a great rock n roll DJ and interviewer - musicians respected him and felt him easy to open up to. Thanks for sharing his wonderful interview with George!

Intresting to hear about the early American country music arriving to Liverpool and to their ears

Google "Cunard Yanks" & you'll get an idea how American culture started arriving here in Liverpool.

Idk how anyone who likes music isn’t a Beatles fan. It’s usually the people who think all they are is “I wanna hold your hand” and Yellow Submarine
@tapeadeadwormАй бұрын
@@thedogwoods5716 It’s also from folks who hold them to lower standards just bc they’re a 60s group. I would know, considering I was similar at one point.

Didn't bother Harrison at all that his lifestyle slowed down in the 1970s.

Slowed down was still a hundred times faster than ours.

And then, he financed "Monty Python" and uplifted The Empire. #Aloha, George

Hare bol George! My dad was brought up a Catholic and told me never trust a Christian. I found krsna Lyla when I was 20 and moved through learning about other religion's. And aprouch it when I was adult as I was raised or rather not raised relegois. I became a prenerast and was able to practice polytheism with vigor.

George was always a whiner...he always dissed the Beatles, yet he made a fortune from being a Beatle, giving him absolute freedom. His entire "transcendental schtick" was just an act. He had great moments, but all together he did never live up to what he claimed to be....

I agree with you George was a bitter fool

Not sure if you are trolling... Did we listen to the same interview? He mentions the fact that in the early days he absolutely loved playing; and then see his response re his overall feeling about being in the band at 50:45 ... Yes, one could argue he resented the baggage of 'Beatlemania', but to claim he "always dissed the Beatles" and that his "transcendental schtick" was an act is nonsense.

Whilst he was slightly limited,if we're talking about the best of the best, I'm so glad he wrote " here comes the sun" and that riff to "and I love her". He's done far more than you and I. Just a sensitive bloke trying to hold onto his sanity. I couldn't have. But taxman was a step too far giving his so called spiritual nature..but that's the yin to the yang of spiritual people

no one will know what it a was really like being in the Beatles. No way Macca or Lennon could have composed all those different lead parts like George did. They were stronger together than apart. Macca wrote a lot of crap post Beatles.
