1975- 2023 : Diana Ross in Italy - Special guest, television appearances - Interviews-

I had the pleasure to see Diana Ross in Milan ( Italy,1985 ) and at " Umbria Jazz Festival " ( Perugia, Italy -2005)
Ho avuto il piacere di vedere Diana Ross a Milano (Italia,1985) e ad "Umbria Jazz Festival" (Perugia, Italia -2005)
Diana Ross conosce abbastanza bene Roma, poiché nel 1975 vi aveva girato il film “ Mahogany “ per cui vinse, tra l’altro, il “ Cesar”, l’Oscar francese ) ed il celebre tema conduttore del film, “ Do you know ( where you’re going to ? ), ottenne la nomination agli Oscar come miglior colonna sonora . A novembre del 1985 ( nel suo tour mondiale " Eaten Alive ", in cui nell'omonimo brano duetta con Michael Jackson ), si esibisce per la prima volta dal vivo in Italia con 3 concerti a Roma, Firenze e Milano.
A febbraio del1993, le ultime due sere, si esibisce come ospite d'onore del Festival di Sanremo; per la sua partecipazione al Festival, la Rai (televisione italiana) la ingaggia per la cifra record ( per l'epoca ) di 160 milioni di lire ( circa 83.000 Euro ) .
Era il 23 Settembre 1996, quando Lucio Dalla incontrò Diana Ross in occasione dello show di beneficenza “Sotto il cielo di Roma, le stelle della moda", sfilata di moda di Ferre', Armani, Valentino e Krizia ed ospitò star della musica internazionale e nazionale, come DIANA ROSS e,Jamiroquai ,Vasco Rossi ,LUCIO DALLA, Gianni Morandi , Laura Pausini e, infine, Sharon Stone che ha sfilato in esclusiva per Valentino . Al termine della serata, DIANA ROSS e SHARON STONE, vengono invitate alla cena esclusiva organizzata dallo stilista VALENTINO. Fu un grande spettacolo, una vetrina del made in Italy.
Il 26 Gennaio 1997, Diana Ross sfila a Roma per la collezione primavera-estate 97 di Gai Mattiolo . Il passaggio di Hong Kong alla Cina, è stata l'ispirazione per la stravagante collezione di Gai Mattiolo che veste Diana Ross con un kimono di strass e pizzo .Gai Mattiolo , scelse Diana Ross per questo evento poichè" Diana Ross nel Mondo è famosa quanto la Coca Cola " Nel 1992 , nell'ambito del tour mondiale " The Force Behind The Power" , si esibisce a Milano .
A luglio del 2005 ( This Is It Tour ) ritorna in Italia per 3 concerti : a Perugia ( nell'ambito di " Umbria Jazz"), Roma e Taormina .
Il 20 Giugno 2013, canta a Portofino ( Genova, Italia) per un concerto privato , in occasione della presentazione della collezione di diamanti di Bulgari, chiamata " Diva ". Si tratta di gioielli da sogno, in alcuni casi a tiratura limitata, di una decina di pezzi al massimo, impossibili da replicare, vere opere d'arte con pietre rare e lavorazioni raffinate a prezzi da capogiro.
Il 7 Luglio 2023, si è svolto lo stravagante weekend di Alta Moda di Dolce & Gabbana con l'arrivo delle celebrità ad Alberobello in Puglia, Italia. Alberobello, piccolo borgo e patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO, durante un weekend stellato, tra gli ospiti ci sono Diana Ross, Kim Kardashian, Erling Haaland e Helen Mirren. Diana Ross è stata l'artista ospite dell'evento e, in vero stile da diva, ha stupito sul palco indossando un abito decorato di Dolce & Gabbana abbinato a un drammatico bolero che era un classico look di Miss Ross.
Diana Ross knows Rome quite well, as in 1975 she shot the film “Mahogany” there for which she won, among other things, the “Cesar”, the French Oscar) and the famous leitmotif of the film, “Do you know ( where you're going to?), received an Oscar nomination for best soundtrack.
In November 1985 (in her world tour "Eaten Alive", in which she duets with Michael Jackson in the song of the same name), she performed live for the first time in Italy with 3 concerts in Rome, Florence and Milan. In February 1993, on her last two evenings, she performed as the guest of honor at the Sanremo Festival; for her participation in the Festival, Rai (Italian television) hired her for the record sum (for the time) of 160 million lire (around 83,000 Euros). It was September 23, 1996, Diana Ross on apperead for the charity show "Under the sky of Rome, the stars of fashion". On January 26, 1997, Diana Ross paraded in Rome for Gai Mattiolo's spring-summer 97 collection. The handover of Hong Kong to China was the inspiration for Gai Mattiolo's extravagant collection which dresses Diana Ross in a rhinestone and lace kimono. Gai Mattiolo chose Diana Ross for this event because "Diana Ross is as famous in the world as Coca Cola" . In 1992, as part of the world tour "The Force Behind The Power", she performed in Milan. In July 2005 ( This Is It Tour)she returned to Italy for 3 concerts: in Perugia (as part of "Umbria Jazz"), Rome and Taormina.
On June 20, 2013, she sings in Portofino (Italy) for a private concert, on the occasion of the presentation of the Bulgari diamond collection, called "Diva". These are dream jewels, in some cases limited edition, impossible to replicate .
