Never seen this before. Thanks very much. Always enjoyed seeing Roger Davies galloping around like a drunken giraffe.

After this season it was a slippery slope for Derby end of a good side.

The Rams were top scorers in Division 1, this year with 75 but the defence, despite the household names of Nish, McFarland, Todd & Thomas had started to flatter to deceive and conceded 58, making them only the 9th best defence. This problem was never addressed soon enough. Ironically is was United's sacked manager Tommy Docherty that sold some of the ageing players but the replacements he brought in weren't up to scratch.

Incredible seeing United fans with a huge banner saying “You’ll Never Walk Alone” in the crowd. That slogan would become the antithesis to the fans in 10 years time.

Hmmm, yes I was there on the Kop. ManU and Derby fans together without any problems. Derby unfortunately didn’t turn up that day. Charlie George was a huge loss that day. We wished the ManU fans well for the final which didn’t go quite as planned either.

Jack Taylor refereed the 1974 World Cup Final. No chance of that ever happening in this day and age with the bent referees from the PGMOL.
