1975 Porsche 911 "Carrera Turbo" by TLG - One Take

This Porsche 911 began life as a 1975 Carrera with a naturally-aspirated 2.7L Flat-Six making 173HP. Now in its fourth powertrain iteration, it now runs a turbocharged, 3.2L Engine, built using only factory Porsche parts. While the car is cool on its face, it's really the story behind the car and its owner, Marco of TLG Auto in North Hollywood, CA, that really make it, especially the fact that it was formerly his mother's daily driver.

Oh definitely. The connection I was making was a lot of current turbo cars don’t sound as melodic. You hear more “whooshing” than the voice you hear on this thing.

I have a 73 VW Super Beetle with a partial back seat that has a complete 75 Porsche Turbo Carrera Engine and Trans in it. On the 10th lap at the Nurnberg Ring in 1977 in Germany it did 202 mph. Without spinning the tires it constantly did 10.9@144mph. I have owned it since 74. I still drive it a couple of times a month. I like your Porsche. It was Built by Wolfgang Boober in Mainz Wisenau Germany. Herbo has A/C also. I will put a Video up on it soon. The Engine is Tricked out and very smooth running. The engine and Trans came from a Total Loss I acquired in Germany. It looks like a VW till it passes you on the Road.

storck08 a carb engine benefits from non intercooled atomizing the fuel. Now obviously in CA on hot days not a good. But in most situations it actually benefits fuel/air ratio

I was trying to solve a registered boost spike issue on my 935 tattle tale boost gauge. It didn't work because of where I'm pulling the signal from (directly above the throttle plate), but it's a pain in the butt to change the charge pipe back to stock so I just left the boy racer BOV in place. It's not gonna be there much longer...

Great car! Just rebuilt (split cases) my '87 Carrera daily driver, left it all OEM/ parts/stock (except for a Momo wheel and K&N filter) came from factory w 16" color matched Fuchs. Can I add a factory turbo without twin plug heads? Anyone out there have suggestions for tires, been running Bridgstone 760 Sport Potenza's can't find them anywhere?
