I'm confused about the reference to 906 cams versus the S cams. S cams are fast road cams. 906 cams are full-race cams with tons of lift and overlap, and won't even come "on-cam" until past 5000 RPM, and would pull up to 8000. Mid-range torque is not a feature of 906 cams, especially compared to S cams.

It amazes me. Not many people understand History of Sports Cars. Porsche has been the top of the heap, since the 1950's. Always building a Sports Car, as a TOOL ,for a Driver. For Road or Track,Porsche has clawed it's way to up hold it's design ethos and formula, and " it's total commitment to ", the "Sports Car Driving Enthusiast" Many, many, many Sports Car , manufacturers fell by the way side, thru the years, from 5mph bumpers, to side impact, to emissions. ( You have to love Porsche's method of beating emissions.) Most manufacturers fit emissions to the same motor losing power. Porsche fitted a larger motor and fit emission controls to that. Staying out in front of any competition . And not at all the least thing Porsche did. Was never listen long to fashion fads, or Marketing Department ,trying to put ," passenger car Drivers " in the seat of an Enthusiast Driver's Car. They just shunned such rediculous ideas. Porsches are built and exist for the Sports Car DRIVER, and no one else. I like this Brumos livery. All Brumos cars were ORANGE. Till Peter Greg ,was told a white car photographed better on black and white film of the day.

Hope it is an easy fix...but if not and they have to drop the transmission then you will have to go thru the following( I have black 997.1 manual T}. 1. New clutch and pressure plate best you buy the parts yourself will save $$$ 2. Even though dual mass fly wheel checks out suggest change any way! Definately source part yourself 3. Change RMS seal same time with latest design. 4. Check IMS if seeping or leaking then have them remove the IMS seal as I believe you have the non repairable version. I was lucky my IMS was good If you want to know best prices for the above parts happy to point you in right direction.

@rider_ringz53816 жыл бұрын
Hii can. U let me know in the description if its zack or matt cuz if it zack im not wasting my time
@eaglefat93986 жыл бұрын
Great car and sounds beautiful but Porsche fanatics are tripping to call that a $130k car, that is a arbitrarily inflated price for a run of the mill model. I get it has responsive handling but thats more of a feeling then actual performance and besides its "drivers car" persona its not really good at being a car. You would probably scoff at the idea of paying that much for a average 73 Corvette but in reality the vette had a much nicer interior and 90% of its handling deficits could be eliminated with a $700 rack and pinion upgrade. At the end of the day both cars cost about $900 to produce and are just some stamped sheet metal and a little cloth so this childish view that puts car into a super position of magical being is tulip mania.

tell us how you really feel
@eeterp326 жыл бұрын
Did you even watch the video? This car is heavily modified.
@eaglefat93986 жыл бұрын
Thats not really that heavily modified on a car from 1973 because most of those upgrades are getting replaced regardless just to make it road safe, even repainting it to keep it from rusting away. You'll find that same list of upgrades on an average $4,000 70s/80s Camaro, its just a fact of classic car maintenance.
@eeterp326 жыл бұрын
I'll be Frank I'm Leary about using my name Yeah you have no idea what you are talking about. LoL@ the Camaro comparison
@eaglefat93986 жыл бұрын
You clearly never had a classic car because every shock, brake,brake line and rubber bushings have all degraded to the point they are not usable and finding upgraded part is often easier the finding OEM parts for a 40 year old car and nobodies stupid enough to not upgrade when you already spending the money besides the OEM stuff is antiquated and sketchy. In fact basically most classic car have new paint, interior, suspension and brakes which is why clean unmodified cars bring the most money because there are so few of them left stock.
