Very informative once again ! Thanks also Elin for the splendid music 11:35 onwards ...J.S. Bach Well Tempered Clavier - and a good version indeed ;-)

Elin, when I saw you unbolt your engine from the stand it reminded me of “others” working under a car with only trolly jack raising the car.

This is a solid stool, believe me

Always a joy to watch you do this work and explain it as you go. Thanks, Elin!

Thanks for showing us the "sealing paste" on the gaskets. I've always installed them dry.

Scary how worn that old rocker shaft was ! Paint your stool and wooden blocks read and your backup engine stand will look respectable....

Hi Elin, I think there’s supposed to be a copper washer on the top bolt of the rear engine seal. I didn’t see you put one on? Tush bolts his engines sideways onto the engine stand so you can access the rear end. Great video as always.

It was there, but I reused the old one. I know it is not the best option, but I had no other choice as I didn't buy a knew one.

Tighten everything on that rod, I found a screw from it in my oil when I changed it.

You didn't buy that nice bottom gasket set from me...you thought you had one!

You know- the guy you bought that engine from...much closer than 50 km away!

Well, I forgot about that Paul. This is a different engine though. Your engine I rebuild at work but only when we are not busy with other stuff. I recently started it for a fist time and it sounds great. Videos coming soon on my 74 TR6 playlist

Hi Elin, do the springs on the rocker shaft become fatigued and need replacement?
@RustyBeauties3 жыл бұрын
The ones on the shaft, no, they do not compress and decompress thousands times a minute like the valve springs. They just keep the rockers apart and barely move.

The only thing worse than backorders, is "selling" you the part, billing you for it, and then, eventually, saying; "No part is coming your way, so I guess that I'll have to refund your money then." I just had a shipper, who *still* shows > 10 parts available send me a "my bad" note and a refund.

Yeah, I hate that.

Elin, your woodworking skills make me cringe! I'll have to teach you how to pare with a chisel, much cleaner and safer cut my friend :-)
