in 1990 , i moved out of my beachfront condo in NORTH PADRE ISLAND TEXAS, traded my 1986 corvette title for title for 1973 38 ft. chris craft commander sport fisherman, also purchased 1976 corvette stingray as daily driver, restored the boat and car side by side at house of boats ROCKPORT TEXAS, cruised , fished and lived aboard at padre isles yacht club until 2005 , now living aboard 38 ft. motor coach at padre isles r.v. resort, still drivin the stingray and livin the surfer life, still cherish my years aboard the COMMANDER

I had a 1947 30 foot Chris Craft with a Ford 400 Expediter engine. Nice boat, cruised the Muskoka Lakes with her. Eventually sold her to finance the finishing of my home. Rescued her from a front yard end of the driveway sale for $900.00. Had her for the years and sold her for $16'000.00

I’m constantly amazed at how CC lost that lawsuit. I’ve looked at both CC and the Bertram siting side by side out of the water. I’ve been around long enough to know that they are not the same. Similar in some respects, yes, but not the same. Bertram must have had better lawyers and some grudge to bear against CC. I currently have a Blackfin which looks much more like the Bertram than CC ever did. Also the Blackfin was built by the same guys as the Bertram back in the old days, Carl Herdon and crew. In closing I like both the Bertram and the CC. Their must be enough room on the planet earth for both of these boats!

i saw one on the hard in Maryland and the owner came running out to me looking at it yelling its not for sale that one is too Special it was my Dads and Ray Hunt used to fish with him on that one it will never leave my possession and i told him i completely understand btw it was a boat repair shop just south of Baltimore i used to buy parts from for a older Chris i owned
