had one in '93-94, 5200 actual miles... put 3000 on it riding 2 summers... great bike, even though it was never my favorite, my 1st bike was a 1942 Cushman Eagle with a side cart....THX for refreshing my memories

I have the exact year model n color with only 7k miles! It sat for a while trying to get her running. Them carbs pure hell!

4:50 just a note, you can't kickstart this bike with a dead battery. The battery needs a minimum carge for the capacitors to charge enough for spark production.

Great looking bike. I have a 76 CB550F in the Orange. Unfortunately mine's a basket case but complete sans the right side cover.

Brakes these days have gotten better, but stopping quickly is overrated. : ) I recently bought a 1975 CB750. I've never had a problem stopping when I need to, but the brakes are lacking compared to modern bikes.

@@davec6244 the brakes on my 550f1 aren't strong enough to lock the front wheel so I call that ABS by design!

Modern bike designs are ugly. Modernist designers destroyed these bikes with sporty looks

There are more than marginal improvements with modern bikes, but many of them are too powerful for the street for it to matter. This was the era when performance outpaced production. After this changes became aesthetic and safety, basically improving the horses saddle and tack.
