Went to this game as a fanatical sporting 18 year old student in Manchester. Great to see it again and every bit as great a game as I remembered. I am a Saints fan but would go to watch any RL game.

Beautiful. Loved that BB kit nearly as much as Hunslet's green version of the time.

Started watching rugby league a few months after this game...God this brought back some memories.Cas were a great team,Borough came to play and did themselves proud. Eddie Waring didnt have his best game commenting, bless him,but did say something interesting. He mentioned a Test match on this ground featuring the immortal Harold Wagstaff and asked if anyone had seen it!.I think that was in 1920 and it is possible that a viewer could have been at that Test match ( it was only 57 years earlier ).1920 is now 101 years ago and seems like a different world ago. I`d rather watch this than bloody Super League of today.

As a lifelong fan of Blackpool RL in all its mainly doomed guises thank you so much for uploading this! If you can find any other Blackpool, Springfield Borough or Chorley games it'd be great to see them, especially the semi final against Leigh in 1976 which was shown on BBC Grandstand.

Also watched Blackpool Borough and Chorley Borough back then. My girlfriend somehow tracked down the DVD of this match and bought it for my birthday. Think it was via Rugby League Journal. She also found a Blackpool jersey and had it framed. Now resides in our house in Glasgow. Did you and your mate produce the fanzine The Tangerine Dream which was on sale during the Chorley years? Still got several copies of that too as well as numerous programmes. God I'm getting old but great times when Rugby League was fun!!!

Was a shame for Blackpool rugby club never to survive in the league, And just look at the football ground in the late 90's compared to now it was a right dive !

thanks for the upload, I didn't start watching Hull until late '78 as a 9 year old (and I went to all the homes and some of the aways )but love these old games. blackpool had a shocking year in the league but did well to get to the final and appointed themselves well against a team full of top drawer players including Norton, Reilly, lloyd, Joyner, Stephens et al.
