The Kraft Hall 75th Anniversary TV Special hosted by Bob Hope. Aired on Tuesday January 24, 1978. This special program celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Kraft Music Hall TV series. Past presentations that highlight the Music Hall's wonderful history are relived in this one and a half hour presentation. Some are only a year old yet some go back to the "Roaring" 50s.
Some of the presentations feature: Edgar Bergen, Milton Berle, Al Jolson, Roy Clark, Bob Crosby, Alan King, Donna McKechnie, Hal Peary, Leslie Uggams, Johnny Carson, Bing Crosby, Paul Whiteman, Neson Eddy, Nat "King" Cole, and Bob Burns of "Bazooka" Fame. Produced by Dwight Hemion and Gary Smith. Directed by Dwight Hemion. Writen by Marty Farrell, Buz Kohan and Jerry Perzigian.
This recording was digitized from a 1977 Quasar VX format videotape that i purchased from ebay. the quality is low due to the Quasar VR-1000 VCR's (Great Time Machine) single head system and 43 year old magnetic ribbon. I did not edit, ad watermarks or add my own audio commentary to preserve the original recording's presentation.
I own hundreds of hours of nostalgic 1970s televised programs on the 1977 Quasar VX videotape format. These include shows, commercials and film promotions that i plan to share on my channel in the near future. I hope i inspire others to please share these relic recordings of our past. Enjoy.
