I miss my 78, it had a full fairing, I always went at max speed on I-70 West of Glenwood springs, Co. The faster I went, the smoother it became, I went 120 without realizing it on a regular basis, what a great handling bike that was, I'm too old and weak now at 66, what fun that bike was! Super fast for sure!

Perfect. Actually found one earlier today before I saw your answer. Thank you again! My little project is coming along. Should be put back together and running in the next couple days. Just looking for a speedo, but I am hearing that there aren't really any aftermarket speedos that are accurate as the ratio is way off. The xs11 has a 2.9:1 or somethin like that....Thanks again for your help!

Sport bikes and cafe racers are usually similar in comfort. Biggest factors would be the seat foam, handle bar position, and foot peg position. It is like comparing lemons to oranges.

I like the kick-start. If memory serves, the '79 had the kick-start shaft protruding from the case, but no pedal, and the '80 I used to have didn't even have the protruding shaft - limiting it to electric start. Don't know why kick-start was eliminated.... nice back-up.
