Update this video please there is no information anywhere about the internal mounting of the Throw out bearing. Does it just float inside the bell housing on the input shaft? I’m curious how it just “replaces” the stock bearing when the bearing was held in place by a clutch fork.
@mach27510 ай бұрын
I give this 7.5/10 still good video ! I’ve been struggling with mine for months now. I’ll need to bleed it from the top bleeder valve. I hope that gives me the last push of the tob to get it into 1st gear.

I want to do the conversion but this thing looks like the slave and master cylinder are gonna be flopping around when the clutch is released.

What is the travel in inches of the internal throw out bearing?
@Ranjithog_YT7 ай бұрын
Hey I installed the clutch onto my mustang and when I clutch I have no pressure, do you have any suggestions, it’s not pulling on the clutch fork under the car. It just sits still.
@McLeodRacingClutches7 ай бұрын
If nothing is moving, then you still have air in the system. You need to continue to bleed the system until the clutch pedal has the same pedal feel as the brake pedal.
@Anlushac1111 жыл бұрын
Same here. I was hoping for more on how to install the internal release kit. Mine is going on a 85 Mustang coupe with turbocharged inline six. Since its go a return line Im guessing any air bubbles get passed through return line back up to bleeder.

^^ THIS. Every time I even think about touching the clutch linkage I keep thinking I've done something wrong when really this kit just requires bleeding for DAYS.

If even possible is “dropping the clutch” any more destructive to the hydraulic clutch (with hydraulic bearing) than a conventional clutch cable and fork? Also does the pedal slowly return upwards after being pressed ?

gavino orozco throw out bearing didn’t last I’ve been asking around and people have recommended to go with the stock bearing, as far as hydraulic quality I could not input since my mustang gt is cable operated
@wyntifurlust64805 жыл бұрын
McLeodRacingClutches when I removed the bearing attempt to spin it to verify that is what failed in the clutch system and the bearing would just grinding I kept all the parts except the old flywheel and pilot bearing since the pilot bearing was in pieces attempting to removing and since I got a new flywheel , reverted the pressures plate and clutch and bearing back to ford stock parts since my dealer still had those parts

I have a 347 stroker and a 9# Powerdyne s/c. I keep cooking clutch cables (6) between the header tubes, they stretch and break and leave me stranded ( while the cable is UN-stranded). I'm hoping this kit ends all of that !

@@htkuntamed1989 I have the throw-out bearing version of this kit, and it definitely helps if you're headers cook your cables. Haven't had a heat-related clutch incident since the swap, plus you can route the fluid line pretty much wherever if you're willing to get some clamps/zip-ties or route some hardline. That said, be prepared to bleed this thing about as much as you saw in this video, it takes commitment lol.

Why don't you show how to install the quadrant. Even the kit instructions don't show anything about the quadrant and to picture is lame. Nowhere does it say that there are 2 posts for the quadrant. You assume everyone knows how the clutch pedal assembly works, not user friendly. How do you connect the cable when you have only space for one hand and no leverage to pull the cable over the quadrant. if the unit has fluid, there is noway someone will pull the cable to attach it to the quadrant. All of your instructions are really bad and unfriendly.
@johndoe-zb8bm4 жыл бұрын
Because they know its more difficult than they claim. Look how the install kicked his butt just pushing it through the hole. It doesn't mount to anything. Looks like a $650.00 dollar paper weight in my opinion. .I'll go with his competitor. Looks like better set up.

I want to buy one of these so bad but this install video is terrible. Blocking the camera when showing how to attach the slave cylinder. Doesn't show the interior hookup or quadrant install. And they give you one page horrible instructions. I'm worried about spending this much and then not being to install it. Should be better instructions and video for $600.
