Nice truck, we had them here in the uk but the only engine available was the BMC 1500cc B series petrol engine and four speed gearbox.

While you have it up on the lift, get a quart of black rust olem paint and spray paint the whole underside of the truck, frame, chassis, underside of the bed, EVERYTHING! That will keep this little girl from rusting out from underneath it and preserved for yet a good long time in the future.

Aside from a valve adjustment, it doesn't need much at all. It was babied throughout its life :)

Always prefered the regular cab trucks, always loved these Datsun trucks the 521 and 620 series trucks. Wish Nissan would build these little girls again gas is up to 7 dollars a gallon these days, we need them to be built like this again.

And my problem is I would end up with and an entire yard full of old cars from my youth in the 70s as I could not part with any thing I buy. If I could find some original plaid in japan that would be great. I had similiar in my 79 210

Sorry to say that front fender has trouble with rust from the back .you have stuff trapped in the water run off

Best thing to do is take it off the truck, sand it down underneath the fender, coat it with bedliner coating, put it back on the truck once again. That'll repair the issue of rust. These little girls are way to precious to abuse, however to keep forever as long as you matain them properly.
