I had a white ‘83 2WD that I bought new. The only option was an FM radio. Drove it 130k miles without even changing the bias ply tires. Only service was oil and filters. The only thing that needed repair was an A/C vent that would fall closed. It was fixed with a paper clip.

Love your Toy... Not surprising since I bought one just like it, same color. Short bed. Got mine new on June 28 1979. I wae just 20 years old. That will be 44 years ago this year. Yep, still got it. Drive it every day. Off road and on. She's still perfect. Great minds think alike, I guess.

My uncle had one of these trucks, damn thing ran forever... then the frame rusted out and he took it to the scrap yard. The motor is still running, literally.. he set it up behind his garage and it's been running for 10 years non stop.

Put the stripes on it ... I had this truck blue with silver stripes oh man these trucks were the the truck to have ... I bought mine when it had 5400 miles... unfortunately if you were a big guy the truck was not comfortable to drive for long periods of time... brings back some absolutely crazy great memories...

Did they ever make a wheel that sat flush with the pickups every pickup i see the wheels pop out (not too much). Does that affect the performance? I know many would go to that aluminum wheel cus the steel wheels weighed more and that lil engine only had so much power. Just a question.

The wheels and sticking out more on purpose alotta times , it keeps your center gravity low , helps from tippin over.
