@glenfoltz6760 I was doing a test with fuel pressures a lot of it because those temperatures are not typical for Virginia. Were I did the opposite in the summer on the 460 I bought. Learned a lot for sure over the last year. Came apon some cheap upgrades that I'm going to apply soon.

Adjust the choke and it will start on the first try. I owned 4 of these trucks back in the day. Good trucks 👍

@albertbordelon2342 truck currently has no choke at all. Didn't have one on the carburetor when I purchased

@grstew4 is different but interesting every time. The carburetor really needs a rebuild. But I have another, it's a 4 barrel will not work with this intake. Once I get another, that will fix a lot of this.

@CM79150 Yeah, it acted up on me the other week. It backfired when I came around a turn left me stuck off the side of the side if the road for a bit. Some how it had trapped pressure in the fuel line. I'm going to redo all that once it gets warmed and run some new lines to the tank.

@robinprice4877 Unfortunately, the carburetor gave up the ghost leaking everywhere. Need to replace that and the intake at this one.

@@WestHanoverTruckin I put fuel injection on my old El Camino. Starts 2nd time now no matter how cold. 😅

@KentForrest I'm sure it's night and day. Had an 85 caprice for 13 years always started but had every bolt on possible for a 305. The 460 starts right up but has an electric choke. This one has no choke. So once I change the intake, I have a spare 650 holley. I'll put a kit in it should be golden. Probably isn't helping that the fuel pump is not mounted in the right spot. Its where the old transfer pump was at not the gas tank. So I need to move that as well. I will run new lines when I do.

@KentForrest yeah this one for sure is more of a project and test vehicle. I been having a good time with it since I purchased it in October.
