Wow, 1980, last year of high school. Novi, Mich...a suburb of Detroit. One family the lived a few miles from me had one and it actually seemed kind of quick for it's time., especially at a roll. Dont suppose it had the 3.73 gear like the 83-87 due to having a 3 speed, probably had a 2.41 but at a 30 roll,it moved out pretty good. This car is clean considering it's43 years old. Nice interior. Ive had a 86 442 since Oct 1987. Never sell it. 64-72s are too pricey and besides, you never see these 78-87s around, especially here in the rust belt. They're 300-400 pounds lighter than the older ones so with a 68 Olds 350/turbo 350, it's a great rear drive , full frame car. THE last one! WOW, that stereo really takes me back to the high school days. Vacuum controlled actuators /cable operated blend air door....CIGARETTE LIGHTER! That is one nice car. Damn, just dual exhaust and a 3.42 gear, that thing would move on out in luxury but as rare as it is, I suppose it's best to just leave it alone and drive it as is. GOtta have a wicked top end.
