Nice restoration. I love my Fz50 even though it's slow. Always gets comments and people stop for a chat about it. Best enjoyed on summer evenings pottering about.

In Denmark the fz50 was sold until 1999. And still alot of parts availebel. But in denmark it only have 1 gear with automatik clutch. And restricted to 30 km/h

What beautiful results! I really hope to have one someday; back in ‘79, I was doing a paper route to save up for an FZ-50, but then my family moved to the boondocks in TX, so I got a horse instead. I haven’t given up hope yet, though! Great to see this nice, nice job restoring yours!

Who would have thought a restoration would have given the bike a Technicolour ability.

Those engine covers are in nice shape! Did you restore them? Or just took care of them?

That was wild the way it turned blue at the end. It would look good red or blue.

thank you for explaining it to the carburetor, but I wondered which nozzle you use because I use 67 nozzle in mine with 45mm cylinder kit and it goes very well
@bbishoppcm6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I need to jet this thing. Exactly where did you get this nozzle?

"one of the great things about the fz50 is that the choke is a fuel enrighment choke and not a air restrictor. That allows you to jet the bike to run well @ low speeds and engage the choke @ very high speeds to prevent running lean. also makes it very easy to jet the bike." temporary fix

you'll need mikuni vm jets, i believe treats has them....could also just buy a set of jet drill bits. Find the one that fits and go a size or two up, and if that turns out to be too rich solder the hole shut and re-drill the original... i like the stock exhaust look as well, its a shame that stock looking expansion chambers dont seem to be a thing because paired with you bike it would probably be a screamer.. www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Performance_Tuning_a_Suzuki
