Noel Cleal was an absolute wrecking-ball out there in the centres. The boy from Warialda carved up opposition teams like a hot knife through butter. Noel's brother Les Cleal tried, but couldn't stand life in the big smoke and soon returned to Warialda. Big Noel played 70 games with Eastern-Suburbs before heading off to Manly-Warringah in 82/83, where he played a further 128 matches. A true legend of our game. After retiring as a player, Noel has carved out a niche in football administration.
