1981 Honda CBX Gets Detailed

Bike is a collector classic. When i was a young guy in 1979 , a guy a couple blocks away had a brand new one of these in Silver, and we all knew it was the coolest bike in town . I know the video did not do justice to how long you spent cleaning the CBX. Job well done !

Looks good. I have a black 80 CBX and a white 82 CBX. I like the grey colour on the 81 better tbh. It looks like it was in decent shape and as you say, a "survivor"

Seen quite a few of these on KZbin in the last 12 months. What a nice bike. I am looking to put panniers on my GPz750 (Panniers from GTR1400). I would not paint anything, just leave it original. Especially if they want to sell it.

I own the same bike the rear brake pedal has went solid anyone know why and they do need alotve time to clean them mine is covered up but the dust still manages to get in

Piston in the rear master cyl is likely seized up. Disassemble , clean and out in a rebuild kit.
