Another season, another win against Manchester's finest. Used to be commonplace. When will the next one come? Haven't beaten them since 84 I don't think.

Thanks for posting this video. I have never seen this footage before. Yes, West Brom always beat Man.Utd at the Hawthorns in the late 70s and early 80s.

West brom had a real Indian sign on united then. I first went to the hawthorns the following season when we (united ) won 2 1 and the following year when we won 5 1. Notice the huge support we had there every year ?

You had huge support no matter where you played.......🙋♂️

We knocked them out the cup a few years back at The Hawthorns, 1-0 i think it was.

West brom used to bring about 1 coach load to old Trafford as did wolves/ stoke/ Brum and villa. Yet all sing about supporting their local team when they now bring 2000 to O T
@Busybee654 жыл бұрын
And Man Utd only bought one coach load from Manchester to the Hawthorns, the rest of your support was from all over the fucking country.

@@colinwestwood921 I wont ever see us win anything now as I enter my 51st year supporting them ..Got a few good memories though ( coming back from Old T 5-3) (coming back from Oldham 1-0) ( Valencia at home 2-0) and obviously a lot of awful ones ( god knows how many semi finals Highbury x2 Spurs Lge Cup , Wembley v Portsmouth etc etc etc....Just happy with 3 pts now ha....

@@Curseofsuperbowl49 morning Roy. Aaaaahhs it hanging. Your right my young mate. First match Fulham at home 1966 won 5-1. Bobby Hope was my favourite. Went to those matches you mentioned. Bristol Rovers away at Bath has got to be one of my lows ever. Tony Clueless the most boring manager ever. I stopped going until he was sacked. 🙋♂️

@@colinwestwood921 Ha ..my mates went to Bath all dressed up , I remember I could not face it and certainly did not want to wear a white sheet to the game !!! Sometimes you have to take what you are given I will always love the club , I accept I wont see them win anything , I accept its a "different " game now , I accept Villa were put on the planet to haunt me ( euro cup, title,play offs etc never beat them!) but I cannot accept the mediocrity and lack of talent and the fact that we battle to get out of the championship,lots of games, every few years,only for a chairman somewhere to have NO plan ready for when we get promoted only to take the money and run!!!

@@Curseofsuperbowl49 that could be me my young mucka. When the Vile won the league, we won it for em. We outplayed them at vile park only to lose to a last minute goal goal by withe and we took 3 points off Ipswich. Yeah....most of us wore togas at Bath, as you know......what a shit manager we had.....we had to win to stay up and what did he do.......put our leading goalscorer at the time Gary Bannister on the bench.....stay safe Roy my old mucka 👍🙋♂️.
