As always, it is great video; I have been changing all of that to my 83 wagon, and continues to show that it is running hot to 100c. I have replaced 3 times the thermostat, and now I will change it again with an OEM one.

With no lift, removing the old oil pan gasket was a most unpleasant and tedious undertaking on my M117 engine. End result was great though.

All of it is cumbersome and unpleasant without a lift hahaha

Can you remember any of your videos where you had to change the Oil Cooler lines on the w123?
@woodsandbarclay11 ай бұрын
I've done that on a few of the cars however I think I only recorded the process when I did it on the 126 chassis.
@truefunk9911 ай бұрын
@@woodsandbarclay Understand. On the w123, Do you have to lift the engine up to get those lines out from the bottom of Oil Filter housing as if changing the motor mounts or you can get them out without lifting the motor up?
@woodsandbarclay11 ай бұрын
@@truefunk99 yes you need to lift up the engine and remove the engine mount and engine shock on the left side. Here is a good write-up on the diesel giant website. There's plenty of information online for how to do this. www.dieselgiant.com/oilcoolerlinereplacementl.htm

Hello, I have a Mercedes 190e 16valve. I looked for a month or more trying to find a Behr radiator for my car. I don't think Behr makes these radiators anymore. I looked everywhere. The radiator on the 16 valve is shorter than one from a regular 8 valve 190e, because of the power steering cooler. In the end, I bought one from Nissens. Hopefully, it will last. Cheers from Canada, Rob.

Oh, bummer! My W126 has a Nissens radiator installed under previous ownership. I was wondering if it was OEM--guess not!
@woodsandbarclay10 ай бұрын
Nope. Not OEM.

This is a great series. I've done a number of the jobs you've covered so far, and it's nice to see how others tackle them. How much transmission fluid can I expect to drain from the lines when I disconnect them? & do you know the volume of transmission fluid that will be lost to the old radiator?
@woodsandbarclay11 ай бұрын
Sorry I don't know how much fluid you lose when you change those items. I just know you got to add a little back in but not much.
