These Eagles were ahead of there time. I had a friend who had one, they lasted forever, very well made go virtually anywhere. I use to see then on the road into the 90s.

Nice looking car,and the engine compartment is awesome. Even the interior looks more like 28,000 miles than over 280,000. My niece owned an AMC Eagle hatchback with all wheel drive back in the early 80's. The one she owned was Black as well, not sure it was a Sport SX4 though. It gave her good service for many years. Merry Christmas to you and Jordan !!

that car is not for everybody but i love it anyway i wish AMC lasted long enough to improve the model i think it would have been the best AWD car ever built if they had a chance at it.

There were a number of those around growing up in western NY. They did well in the snow and with that higher ground clearance could go through a lot of snow. My father drove an AMC Hornet, AMC's were pretty popular, not very reliable.. but really, only Toyota's were reliable vehicles back then.
@RamblinAround2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they definitely do well in the snow. Thanks for checking it out Craig, we appreciate it!

Remember the Kammback ones with the Gremlin-style hatchback? Those weren't a common sight at all. I remember seeing some around back in the day though.
