1983 C10 Runs and Drives for the first time! The perfect hotrod shop truck!

Well yall we finally got the old C10 shop truck fired up! It took some doing, we kept having issues that seemed to feed off each other! I've never had this much trouble making a sbc happy. I'm still not convinced we don't have a timing issue. This 600cfm Holley that the whole top comes off of is JUNK! And I am a huge Holley carburetor fan, so it pains me to say that I haven't given up on it, but it's not my favorite! Should make a good shop truck for hauling parts and a daily driver! We need to get some exhaust on the truck and get the carbonator situation figured out. I'm still curious if the truck has some kind of computer controlling the timing at idle. But overall, the truck is coming together and with a little more work should be jam up!

I think you should run it open headers 😂 sounds like a gasser. Sounds really good to not have mufflers yet for real

I did enjoy the open headers! But it would be a little rough as a daily driver with open headers haha
