My brother stored this truck under a shed over a dozen years ago. We got it started and loaded up, but it has a LONG list of things that need attention before getting back on the road.

Hey Tyler I actually had one almost identical. Mine was also Short bed auto trans w slant 6. No AC or PB. But had radio and PS. I bought it used about 1985. It was an 82. I kept it about 5 yrs.

This story isn't as much interesting as it is short.

You lucky dog! 😧 Solid looking short bed Tyler! Looking forward to the videos. The ole 7.3 crew cab is looking *NICE* in the background! 👀

Thanks. It's been a real love/hate relationship with that Ford.

Shoot, I was a day old when that was built! Personally, I think the truck held up a bit better than I have. Happy nearly 41st, Miser.

The truck doesn't look too bad. Prices for used trucks are crazy around here, everyone thinks that they have a "Classic".

I've been wanting to get a late 90s 4 cylinder Ranger myself.

Good score on the truck. It is in decent shape, 318, 4spd with od, clean it up, fix up the necessities and have fun driving it.

Great truck Tyler! I have the pretty much the same D150, short bed brown, 833OD. Mine's a '82 with a slant 6 though. Only options are temp and OP gauges and power steering. I have it about 6 or 7 years. Went gung-ho the first few years and did all brake everything, new exhaust, new rear leafs, suspension, radiator, HEI, etc., etc. Worst of wiring problems were fixed, but still some more to do. Been pretty stagnant on getting to body and interior for the last couple years. Runs well, especially for 184 k mi. Too much money in it, even at this point, but I like it. I don't know about the 318's, but I believe the slant engines didn't have black paint until 1984. All Mexico slant engines from '84 on. My '82 engine is black, but it may be a newer warranty replacement. No VIN on the engine VIN pad.

Thank you. Every picture I have seen of 1983 318 engines shows thm as blue. The slant in the other '83 Ram I had was black but then again i think the slants were built in Trenton and the 318's at Mound Road. Nothing wrong with a brown Ram, other than the paint name is "Ginger" I think!

Get it running, insured, new tires, new Bluetooth headunit with speakers, paint job, a new exhaust with a cherry bomb muffler and call it good
