Steve Zetolofsky was a great man. I trained at his gym at Crystal Palace (21st Century Gym) in the early 90’s. Pete Tancred was my PE Teacher, too. These were great days with great characters!

A lot of older guys I know who trained out of Crystal Palace in the 80s all mention Steve Zetolofky as a great lifter and also a good man. One of the early top notch powerlifters in the uk

Great win by Allan Crossley, him jumping in the wagon at the end was hilarious. Too bad Richard Slaney and Geoff Capes did not compete that year.

That strongman has the most intense comb-over I've ever seen. How could people actually think that looked good?

John Craven stood back and let the boys have a chance, we know john could tear 3 yellow pages in half with his left hand only

It was the roids that brought the animal out in Craven...He had to quit when he started raving and swearing on the Newsround programme and go into detox and give up his strongman activities for mental health reasons

Hilarious how they lifted logs back then without any handles!! haha. They had handles at the WSM back in the US in 1980-1982. Why did they not craft logs in Britain in 1984 with handles? So awkward.

You watch this and you realise how obvious it is that today’s athletes are all on roids. This is what normal Northern European bodies look like
