No I had to cut a hole out for the air filter but it’s super close to fitting lol if I had a lower intake it would probably work

I’m doing the same thing. How did you wire the HEI? I’m not figuring out the 4 wire plug that came up to the back of the distributor? Which wires go where? Any help would be great!!

The wires that went to the distributor I plugged back up. If you would like we can do a full video on what all we did and hopefully it will help you out.

@@quickofftheline4411 I thought you guys went to a vacuum advance. Correct me if I’m wrong but the new distributor doesn’t have those wires.

No we used the stock dizzy, it not vacuum advance right now. We have plans to change it later down the road. At that time we were trying to make the daily driver race, so we used the stock one for now and let the computer advance it. We will make a video today explaining more on what we did and the future plan of the car.

@@quickofftheline4411 sweet. I got it figured out last night to go to vacuum advance. The 4 wire plug on the back of the distributor is labeled ABCD. If you wire A to C that makes the fuel pump work and keeps the emergency fuel shut off working. You also have to ground D because it is a ground. But after that car started right up and ran great with the vacuum advance distributor.

So I really wanna do the same thing to my 84, did you see any performance gain after the carb install or are heads and cam next to really start feelin it? Super curious about this, haven't seen a detailed write up of how it all goes together, any info would be great!

So after doing the swap yes there was a little bit of a change like reaction time and it feels like it has a little more power.

everyone does these videos, but they don't list all the parts needed to do this in the description I want to do something like this and can't find people to help me I don't have parts laying around and dont want to buy the wrong parts.

The two main piece we put in was a 4150 flange style intake and 650 brawler 4150 carb. You’ll need 350 Chevy intake gaskets, a throttle cable attachment, coolant, and alittle rtv. The last sentence we got all from auto zone. You can used the old bass fitting from the intake you take off. If you have any more questions I’ll help you the best I can.

I want to put all new parts and get rid of all the vacuum lines out of the way to open up the motor a little bit so people can actually see past those vacuum line rats nest.

Need to get a better angle really can't see what you're taking apart and putting in or how you're hooking it up things like that would help since you don't explain how to do it and what you need to be doing
