For me, the best looking Elvis head of all the dolls. Take one of these dolls and change the jump suite against all day clothes and the doll will looking like Elvis in CHANGE OF HABIT! I own the first of the dolls and I am very happy to own one of these dolls. Today, "Elvis" is more an imitator of Elvis from Asia. Greetings from Germany!

I wanna thank you both so much for these merch videos! As a very visually impaired 61 year old fan who had admired my aunt's doll back in the seventies and asked my mom for one and was told I was immature, I am so happy at my late stage of life to be able to acquire my first Elvis doll! I used to have one of those plug-in things that look like a plate only it was a doll with him on stage and had Elvis's name behind it and lit up in red when plugged in the mic even had a wire. Unfortunately everything in my life for over 40 years was lost after a fire in my apartment that they would not debate. So I'm trying to build a new collection and new memories including some things that I've always wanted and can actually afford on my fixed income. I ended up choosing the 50 years with Elvis let the eagle and rated hair. Being at my vision is so low your physical descriptions and the way you handle the dolls out of the box is very helpful for me. I'd like to know if you could tell me if any of the older Mattel dolls in the white jumpsuits in particular the 2000 is a possible doll. I'm very interested in its dimensions and I've been looking at it as I'd like something I can actually handle and play with. I also wanted to say that it's interesting that this the 50th Anniversary commemorative is the only one out of those use shown in this video that is very hard to find. I even found the porcelain doll for about $ around 900 I believe. I am a childlike adulthood didn't have a very good childhood at all and I want a doll I can actually take with me and Carrie and pose and play with. I was wondering if you could tell me if any of the older Mattel dolls in particular the 2000 with eagle jumpsuit is possible are there any of them that allow you to bring the mic closer to his mouth? What is the most popular song and accurate doll with cloth or vinyl pipe jumpsuit rather than molded clothes? If you two could recommend an all-around good poseable Elvis doll that can be fitted with other clothing and know where to get that clothing like the Kindle sets I would appreciate it. Thank you very much!

Hi, Vincent! You are so very welcome, thank you for sharing that and for enjoying the video! I'm so sorry to hear about the fire, and I'll try to answer as best as I can! Are you looking for a 12" doll (Barbie sized) or a 21"? Some of the 21" World Dolls can be had on eBay for around $30 after shipping, which is pretty good - and the 12" Mattel doll in Aloha jumpsuit is about $50 or $60. The 1984 Eugene doll of Elvis in a suit that's like the Embroidered Eagle is about $30 (I like the face better, but the jumpsuit isn't as correct). Sadly, none of the older dolls are very posable, so the Mattel Aloha doll definitely is closer that way!

I'm so glad I found your video! I happened upon one of the World Dolls today (The All American one, surprisingly enough) while out thrifting, complete in the box, with all the documents and stuff. I couldn't believe my luck, given that I've never seen or heard of them before. The doll itself is pretty decent condition too, apart from the vinyl suit like John said, getting stuck to the tag and leaving small marks when it got pulled away. But all in all, I couldn't believe it and I snagged it. Thank you for filling me in on all the information! I had no idea about any of it, and I love learning all the more. I just now need to get a doll stand for him 😄

Well I appreciate all your help! I've already got one of the 50 years with Elvis doll on it's way. And I appreciate your pointing out that the Mattel doll would be the most posable. Just curious about how you feel about the Mego dolls? I have a feeling you're not thrilled with them.

Where did you get the necklace for the American Eagle doll? It didn't come with a necklace but it looks great on him
@EAPSociety6 ай бұрын
Really? I must have had it since the 80s, then (the necklace), because I always associate it with the doll. Maybe my grandmother gave it to me for it, she loved doing things like that!

I bought the Porclean Aloha from Hawaii World Doll. It has a piece of a scarf Elvis owned and a concert ticket . It comes with a glass case. Mine is in perfect condition. I cannot find any info about this doll anymore. I think there is only 750 of them made. I saw one at Graceland inside of the house in the eighties. I do not know what it is worth but I paid $3000.0 0 for it in 1985. Anybody know the story behind this doll? It is almost 40 years ago! I believe she also made the Baby first step doll in the sixties.
@loughrey1017 ай бұрын
Wow, it cost 3000 dollars in 1985? I've seen one on Ebay for 2000 dollars and I thought that was nuts. But that is what they retailed for back then? Indeed only 750 were made and it came with an original ticket to his last Indianapolis concert. I wasn't around back then when they came out so always wanted tu know what they retailed for
@EAPSociety6 ай бұрын
Wow, thank you for sharing that - that's pretty cool! And yeah, those are definitely rare! I have seen those dolls go for cheaper a few years back, but the price has likely gone back up since then. If we come across more info, we'll definitely do a video about it!

A absolutely lovely Video...i know now your in love with the Eagle Suit Doll. But think about a "Stay Away, Joe" Edition (plus a bonus limited worldwide Dominic Bull for members only), or a exclusive "Frankie shooting Johnny Double Feature exclusive Dolls" The ultimate Elvis Doll Universe and EPE (probably "The NRA") are looking for it😉

Funny enough, my favorite as a kid was the Phoenix doll, but the real hair made the Eagle Suit stand out when we were putting the set together. :) And if we ever try 3D scanning one of these dolls to change the hair, those would be great ideas!

@@haraldtrittner4396 LOL! Love it! Yeah, all those others would be a bit tough with "real hair" - it'd have to be plastic like the others, for sure. Does anyone know what happened to World Doll Inc. I can't find any information at all on them or Eugene Doll. It's like the company never existed as there's absolutely nothing about the company on the Web. Were they a very small company that weren't in business long?
@EAPSociety6 ай бұрын
I think they're defunct now; I saw something about them closing up, but I don't remember hearing about them being bought up. I think they weren't in business long enough - or late enough into the life of the internet for the internet to have much info on them - for there to be much. But I'm with you; I'd love to know!

Where can I buy this online? On eBay all this dolls are really expensive. Please let me know if you know where can I buy cheaper. Thank you.
@EAPSociety Жыл бұрын
Hello! At this point, eBay is about the only option - some sell for cheaper, so you basically have to wait for one on there to be cheaper (depending on what price you're looking for, price-wise).

Oops I misspoke actually mistyped the amount I saw that doll for. It was more like $1,450 for that porcelain Aloha doll is the lowest I'd seen And I believe that one sold period there might be another one out there for as much as 2500 I believe period Yes these Obviously going to be a great buy for somebody Love's Elvis And Cannot afford To invest Big bucks In something That is so stunning exclamation point it is sad to see that these have not appreciated Well over 40 years. I just bought that 50 years with Elvis dolphin eBay for 85 Plus shipping. It had been removed from the box and displayed in a case and the only thing I'm missing is the hairnet. But oddly enough I'm unable to find another one of those anywhere. It seems that even the porcelain doll comes up more frequently than that rooted haired doll. Do you all have any clue as to why the world of all 50 years with Elvis is such a difficult one to find? I know you said it was only made for one year and I noticed that when it is offered they generally listed as being 1984. But weren't all of those dolls that were in that collection only made for that one year?
@EAPSociety4 ай бұрын
Yeah, these were all made in 1984, though some were in stores still by 1986, if I recall correctly. I actually found one of the porcelain dolls for $99 on ebay, if this helps: www.ebay.com/itm/276519569400?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=UVYZYswKR4C&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=qomIZVB_Rw6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
