History
The Ford Mustang is as iconic as they come, and they early 80s was a time of rebuilding the name. The Fox Body platform offered great performance, good economy, plenty of options and lots of visual appeal.
Why This Car Is Special
This Mustang is special for several reasons. First, 1984 is the 20th Anniversary for the Mustang. Secondly, this particular car has the rare t-top option. Lastly, this is an unmolested 65,000 Actual mile vehicle. The usual bolt on performance parts have never been done, and this car has never been raced or abused and it shows. It is very solid and clean inside and out. It runs and drives like a dream and is sure to bring a big smile to your face.
Mechanical
This 1984 Mustang mechanically is almost 100% stock. It does have a Hurst short throw shifter and normal maintenance parts have been replaced, but again, she is untainted. You can see some of the hard lines have been replaced in its life along with belts, hoses, battery, wiper blades, tires, and some suspension and steering components. The 5.0 engine roars to life with a turn of the key and she is ready to whisk you down a back country road with the t-tops off.
Interior
The interior is stock and incredibly clean for a 34 year old car. The stock radio has been replaced with an AM/FM/CD player with aux inputs. If that’s not your style, the factory radio comes with the car. The cloth bucket seats are very comfortable, and the dash is pure 80s Pony car. The map light is one of the coolest features as it pops down and articulates in all directions. Lots of light pours in through the large windows and t-tops and the weather stripping is in great shape. The t-top bags and roll up trunk cover are still on the vehicle, another rare find.
Exterior
Again, a mostly stock Mustang with black dual exhaust tips, black ARE period correct wheels, spoiler and stock black hood treatment. The wheels are identical to what a Fox Body McLaren Mercury Capri would have come with, and they fit this Mustang very well. Professionally repainted in its original Silver Metallic color, this Mustang is sure to stand out at the shows. The sunlight dances over this Fox Body, and the black accents make her look very sporty.
Conclusion
These Fox Body Mustangs are going up in value, especially when they have low mileage and are left stock. So many have been stroked, supercharged, turbocharged, cut up and caged that it is getting tougher to find them as they left the factory. Don’t miss your chance to own a rare low mileage, t-top, mostly stock 1984 Ford Mustang GT. It is a great investment!

Just an FYI... That's not a late LX wing. The style wing on this car was only offered in '84 and '85. And the wheels aren't Enkei… they're American Racing Equipment.

I had the same car mine was black with silver rally stripes and T tops. Fastest stock car on the road back then. My friend had a Biuck Grand National that couldnt touch the GT. Most any car made today would be faster and theyve come a long way with engine performance.

I'm surprised the Grand National didn't beat the Mustang. I believe later on the Grand National was faster. I don't really find these cars fast. I think they just have a nice kick to them.

@@mr.e1220 sold before I could make a decision. It was a potential first car for me and would be my only car for traveling. I live in Canada and bought something more practical for the winters here. I am putting money away for a future pony car already, though. Would love to have a nice Camaro or Mustang.

@@krankysledzz you are incorrect about the rims. The 10 hole rims did not appear until 1985. My 83 GT has TRX Wheels. I paid less than 11K. But it will go up in value. Original paint.
