I have an 82 cb750sc night hawk I purchased with air intake pods. It bogs down at higher speeds, what kind of jetting did you apply to your build ? I'd really appreciate the help..

Good to see another person who appreciates the old Honda bikes. You’re definitely gonna have to play around with it to make her happy with the increased airflow that’s for sure. When I added the large air pod to mine it did the same, I can’t remember what jet kit I used off the top of my head since I’ve sold the bike recently, but I wanna say a 115 jet worked for me for some reason. But I got the kit off this site here: www.cb750supply.com/products/6/fuel-system/86/jet-kits-main-jets-pilot-jets There’s also this one as well for $55USD that includes several jets to play around with them. www.lossaengineering.com/products/jet-kits-for-honda Hope this helps ya.

@@That_Bearded_Mechanic Well, thanks for your advice and your right on the bubble using a 115 main jet which I drilled the 100 primary that was in the bike to allow more gas when on the throttle and installed 68's in the primaries. I adjusted the throttle carb plates to be all in sync then used a carb sync gauge balancer (four vacuum gauges) and tuned all four carbs by adjusting all air idol screws while running warm till all the carbs had the same vacuum which ended up being at 17lbs. I ordered a custom Kit from 6Sigma.com for 80 bucks but I cured the issue before it was delivered. I returned the kit cause I'm good to go. It was just sitting a warehouse for 5 years before I happened to across it, now it's back on the road again runs like a naked ape. I did find an airbox on the net but thought I'd go with the pods simply because changing four air pods would be much easier than pulling the airbox to do maintenance on the carbs down the road, Right be right ! Thanks again

Right on, glad she all worked out for ya. They’re definitely fun as hell bikes to have and very underrated. I plan on getting another in the near future and bobbing out again. Air pods are heaps better to swap out and let’s face it, they look cool as hell compared to a clunky box.

@@That_Bearded_Mechanic My intention was to cut it and bob it even purchased all the accessories to do it, then decided to keep it stock except for the air box and bonus it came equipped with a 4 into 1 exhaust. I do have the air box if someone might want it someday but I wouldn't recommend it or ever use it.
