I just picked up a 83 kdx200. It runs as is but I’d like to learn more about this bike. You’re the only person to make one in this year range

Awesome. So far I like the bike. I'll be releasing a bunch more videos coming up. Waiting on a magneto puller so I can dive into the bottom end.

@@AdamzGarage do you have troubles finding parts for the bike? I wanna get a 89KDX 200 but I’m scared that I won’t be able to find parts for it

Where do you buy pistons for this year I can’t find any
@AdamzGarage Жыл бұрын
Almost impossible to find original kawasaki replacement, when they come up on ebay there like $200+. And for some reason none of the big aftermarket piston manufacturers make one currently. There is one guy on ebay that sells a China piston he said he had the made. $75 but I have not tried one yet. I'll see if I can send you link

No luck finding on ebay, doesn't look like he's selling them anymore. I purchased a China one awhile back for like $25, but haven't had time to check measurements to see if it will work. I'll probably make a video at some point.

Have you done more research on if you can use a 86 year piston and mill down 3 mm and it would work ? If not what did you do to get a piston if you have one
@AdamzGarage Жыл бұрын
@mattisspicy7502 I actually did by a cheap 1986 piston to experiment on. But I put project on hold for a bit. Plan on getting back to it soon. My plan is to make a video comparing the 2 and doing the shaving of the 3mm. Unfortunately won't be able to get to it soon.

Do you still have the bike? I'm in search everywhere to find a clutch cover as mine has a hole blown in it by the shift shaft.
@AdamzGarage Жыл бұрын
Hey, yeah, I still have the bike. When I got mine the clutch cover was cracked in half because they tried to kick it over with a stuck piston. There very hard to come by, I bought an entire parts bike , just to get that cover. I may still have the one that is cracked in half, it may be able to be jb welded together for temporary use?

@@AdamzGarage I mean it's probably easier to make it 1 piece vs doing something with the one I've got where I have to. Aje a tiny piece from scratch
@maxwellthemalinois3996 Жыл бұрын
@@AdamzGarage my other question would be how much would it cost me?
@AdamzGarage Жыл бұрын
@Maxwell The Malinois I'll see if I can dig it up when I get home tonight and give it a better look. I think it was a clean crack. If I have it your welcome to it, just whatever Shipping would cost.
