Ja sam putovala za Nemačku toga leta 84te i na aerodromu su bili svi reprezentarivci Jugoslavije iz svih sportova. Prolaz kroz carinu sa svim sportistima. Ja i sestra smo pokušale da u najkraćem roku uzmemo što više autograma pre naseg leta. To je bilo neverovatno iskustvo.

Yugoslavia (now Croatia and Serbia) were champions of world, Europe and Olympics in virtually every significant team sport multiple times. And this as a country with 1% or less investment in sport compared to big rich countries. Imagine if we had same money invested in these sports, in facilities, training, coaches etc as developed countries. We would win everything all the time.

I saw the gold and bronze medal team handball games with my parents and my cousin. I was 12 years old at the time. I pick this sport, because I never heard of team handball before. This was at the Forum.

the real final of Olympic games was Jugoslavija-Rumunija 19-18(match in group fase). no other team, from that tournament, could not have beat these great two teams.

Damals konnte man noch schön die Zeit runterspielen am Ende, nach heutigen Regeln wäre D vermutlich nochmal an den Ball gekommen, wer weiß wie es dann ausgegangen wäre....
