In addition to Olympic Gold Roger Kingdom now has a Super Bowl ring with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Roger Kingdom is an absolute legend. If he hadn't gotten injured before the 92' Olympic trials, he may have won a 3rd gold medal. The 12.92 he ran in 1989 was into a slight headwind.

Rodger was a great running back in high school, I had a chance to run on the 4×1 with him. Cuz did his thing and still doing it.

Foster rocked enough to trigger a false start with today's equipment. However, when the gun went off they left together. The commentator said Foster got out slowly but if you look carefully Foster was even with Kingdom landing off the first hurdle. They said he lost by looking over but what actually happened is that he lost because when he landed off the last hurdle he didn't get enough push off on the landing stride. He fell forward a bit and had a shorter stride. He was already beaten when he took a look because Kingdom ran off the last hurdle with more a bit more momentum.

@peter6119...Good observation, but it also appears Kingdom ran a helluva 2nd 5...and was slightly quicker over the hurdles than Foster, snapping his trail leg down more efficiently.

Foster looks mortified after the race - absolutely gutted not to get the gold. Barely acknowledges Kingdom.

foster got a false start and checked himself which made him late at the start. sometimes a starter doesnt call them back when its obvious theyve not gotten an advantage. but he clearly got a disadvantage..

So sorry for Greg. He deserved the Gold but, otherwise, he was defeated by a Legend like R. Kingdom. Destiny!

Would have nice to see nehemiah compete he was that man in this event. But 1980 team boycott by 1984 he chose pro football with the 49ers.

JK Rai not in 1984 it wasn’t. Kingdom and Foster won the two semifinals yet they were on the outside. I believe that changed between the ‘84 and ‘88 Games. In ‘88 the top two from each semifinal were randomly assigned to the four middle lanes, 3rd and 4th in the semis were randomly assigned to the outside lanes.

Those olympic games pissed me off.It was just an example of stupid american patriotism. All focus was on american athletes and the american flag . Event when athletes from other countries made success , the tv- production showed the american flag. It was worse than former Sovjetunion 😩
