1985, 1994, 2001, 2011, & 2016 Air Jordan BRED 1 comparisons! Black/Red, Banned, Devil's shoes

Here I'm going to show you the various black/red pairs that have been released in the past. These include the 1985 original banned, on to the first retro in the 1994 black/red colorway. Later I show the 2001 Black/Red colorway, then on to the controversial Air Jordan 1 Banned that was released in the outlets. We skip a couple of the retros and then move into the 2016 Banned release and cap things off with a special prototype shoe at the end.
These have all been called Bred, black/red, banned, the devil's shoes, or whatever other names are out there...

I may make a dedicated video for that comparison directly. This was really intended to see the evolution of the shoes. Unfortunately the 2016 banned pair is significantly different than its predecessors and the OG. Good idea though!

I bought a model of the Air Jordans 1, black and red in the nike outlets here in puertorico back in like 2010 - 2012, in the back of the shoues it Says ''since 85'' ' ' pretty decent looking and well taken care off, i just have to put the soles back that felt apart. which model are they? I cant find this specific model, its so weird!, i want to fix them and maybe sell them for the right price.

Great vid, but where's the 2013 pair? I was hoping JB would make the 2016s with smooth leather rather than the tumbled leather. Nice to see that sky Jordan gem in there too

I've had numerous chances to get the 2013 pairs in the past but can't get over the fact that they looked like they were made with cardboard. The coloring was great on them but the shape and materials really felt like they were lacking. I also didn't show the DMPs, I used to have a pair but sold them a couple years back.

I've heard the 85 pair comes with a lot better rubber on the outsole than all the other pairs.

1985 pairs overall are built to be much more durable. 1994 is a great year as well.

Only red laces is real Btw, the Swooshes on the 1994/2001 is Durabuck. Never liked the Banneds. The folded edges are an insult to the OG! Also, the Sky Jordans look sole-swapped, but in any case it's not a Vandal sole (way too thick), it's from the Sky Force 85

The OG is the best, hands down. Can't compare with the materials and build of that shoe.

Thanks for your response. I was choosing between the 2011 banned 1s and the 94s. I did go for the 94s because I figured they were the harder of the 2 to find in a ds condition. Thanks for your help

that's correct, the peaks are there but I didn't focus the camera on them very well.
