The haudraulic table from harbor freight rises alittle higher than the trans jack....u still will have to add like a wooden base so high to help it reach...but the table has a nice wide base to make something work.

Just got my kit, did you have to machine down the knuckle? They said they recommend doing so.... I think I'm going to just do it look really flat to me.

I'm building a clone of a 1976 chevy military truck with my 76 chevy truck. Does this kit help prevent the dreaded frame cracking around the steering box?
@MR1967galaxieLTD3 жыл бұрын
No, for the frame cracking issue you need the brace that goes from behind gearbox to front crossmember.I got it from Offroad Design if your frame is cracked or you want to keep it from cracking.Then you would also need the weld on frame repair kit,also available from Offroad Design.

What did you have to do for your front Drive shaft angle for the 12 inch Springs did you have to get a new front drive shaft, or was it fine, and what about your rear drive shaft angles
@MR1967galaxieLTD3 жыл бұрын
Both driveshafts have to be made for a 12inch lift even less lift still needs new driveshafts.The front driveshaft angle now is at 26° and its length flange to flange is 35inches.The rear shaft I'm not worried about its going to be a basic one just longer.

Trucks coming out great. When do you suggest doing this conversion?
@MR1967galaxieLTD3 жыл бұрын
When I got the truck it was on the 35x16 swampers and factory steering with the lift block for 6inch lift.I found it to be very difficult to turn the wheels even rolling.I think with wide tires the factory setup you just don't have the leverage.

Get that tie rod on top as well. Not hard at all to build
