True story, dig it: In the late Fall of 1984 at 14yrs old my dad took me to our Pontiac dealer to sit down and help him ORDER a brand new 1985 Trans Am. I was beyond ecstatic. We ordered a loaded WS6 Firebird Trans Am in Navy Blue Metallic w/gray-silver trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped shifter w/4-spd automatic w/the optional 305cu in Tuned Port Injected V8 & wraparound rear spoiler. I could not wait for delivery. But, months passed and early 1985 the salesman called with bad news. The Trans Am factory where ours was being built had gone on strike and they didn't know when OUR T/A would be finished. But, the dealer had received delivery of 3-4 Trans Ams and, if we wanted, we could choose one of these as a replacement or continue to wait indefinitely. We looked over the ones they had received and i found a blak & gold WS6 w/the Mesh Gold/Snowflake wheels, carbureted 305V8 & different spoiler plus leather- wrapped & T- Tops and we chose to take it, the Black & Gold one. I was happy for the years we had this beautifully handling T/A but, i always wondered about the Navy Blue Metallic T/A we ordered and where it wound up. We had the very 1st 1985 Trans Am in Murfreesboro, TN where we ordered our T/A at Richard - Smith Pontiac / GMC. Could this be the one?

I didn't realize you could get a 140 speedo in 1985. I thought they only went to 85mph until the following year

I don’t believe you could, like the exhaust on the car it doesn’t look stock. My 85 Mustang GT speedo was limited to well…85mph

Spoiler is off a Formula same gen.
