tony i have two rolls royces with 300 ooo on each i own seven and drive nothing else for 50 years….they are expensive but i only have one life and i drive everywhere…i buy one every 6 years. and you do a great job dont listen to the snobs who comment about you.. oh by the way continental Rs are amazing get one of them you won't want to part with it.

I can appreciate your enthusiasm for this very nice Silver Spirit, but I must let you know that in some respects you are misinformed. The Spirits and Spurs had bodies supplied to Rolls-Royce by Pressed Steel; the coachbuilt cars, such as the Corniche, had bodies completely hand-formed. The 6.75 litre V8 is not, and has never been known, as the 'Merlin V8'. The burr walnut rear quarter companions, and the inlaid wood to the waistrails were not upgrades - they were standard equipment.
