Sitting here watching this makes me realize how complicated the Dallas offensive scheme was at the time. There is a player in motion on almost every single play and many times one back or WR will go in motion and then set and then another back or receiver will go into motion. I can only imagine what it was like A.) for the offensive players to memorize all of that and B.) how hard it must have been for the opposing team's coaching staff to analyze it all and sort through it to try and figure out where the plays were likely to go and then make sure their defense knew what to do and where to go. But I bet Landry had every bit of it committed to memory.

Ernie Stautner was their DC for 22 years. Unheard of these days.

This really was the last Cowboys hurrah here. They win the division and then get beat by the 49ers and then get shutout by the Rams.

Great game. 2 timeouts left at the 16 yd line, and the Giants do not run the ball. Laundry outcoached Parcells in this one.

1985 saw the Dallas cowboys prove all the experts wrong that said they would finish in 3rd

Thanks for the upload! Do you happen to have 1989 Week 7 Falcons at Cardinals and both 1980 Patriots vs Jets games?

It was after this game that Parcells started to refer to Texas Stadium as the House of Voodoo.

Too tall, Randy Jeffcoat, helped the cowboys win a game they should have lost.

It might have been a mistake...I remember my dad "taping" the games with a remote pause switch that was really just a play/pause switch on a long cord. He wanted to pause the recording during commercials (now we wish he wouldn't have) but many times he would forget to un-pause and miss parts of the game, like a Jim Jeffcoat TD lol.

@@mikeandkhristinelee5186 I remember that play when it happened. Also, really bad clock management at the end by Dallas.

One of the worst things that ever happened to Dallas or Coach Landry was drafting that sad sack.
