Hey great video and very informative as always! I have the exact same outboard, 1986! I a quick question, my outboard when going into reverse won’t click in as usual so the RPM increases as I put back the throttle and then she clicks into reverse at high RPM. Have you any experience or solution with this problem? Iv only had the boat on the water two days and my heart is broken 😅🫣

What ratio of gas to oil do you use? I just bought a boat with this engine and am not sure where to start.

Not at all, my 70 is quiet as a mouse, the 70 in this video sounds very crunchy and rough

@@TheSteelerfool I can hear that the upper crankshaft bearing is going out. Mine made the same noise when it was going bad. It's not hard to replace, just a lot of labor.
