That's an iconic truck. I love how old cars have so much space under the hood, and you could absolutely work on them yourself. No computers. I remember that old automatic shifter on the column. The interior reminds me of my parent's '75 Impala that I learned to drive in.

I love the old square body ... we love our 1983 Toyota landcruser fj60 ... it's all original ... we are the 3rd owners of it ... the first owner was texas , then Florida , and we bought it And it took me 3 years to buy it ...

I had a 1980 C-10, lowered, built 350 @ 350ish HP, headers, 3” exhaust, 750 Holley on Edelbrock Air Gap intake, Mallary ignition, Saginaw 4 speed, 373 rear gears. Fun as all get out. That 86 looks near identical except for grill and amenities. Good memories!

Love the old Chevy square bodies. My buddy has a '77 shortbed now. Really similar with a lot of work. Round headlights instead of square. Love em. I had a '77 Dodge stepside I had to sell a few months back. Couldn't work on it anymore due to disability and wanted it to be done right. Great video brother, thanks.

Oh Jared what a wonderful truck! I remember when these were brand new, I was 4 years out of high school when this one came out. I had an '81 C10 Square body. Plain Jane, 250 straight 6 with a 3 speed manual on the column. They don't make them like that anymore, wish they did lol. And back then you weren't cool unless you had BF Goodrich Radial TAs and Mickey Thomsons! Enjoy your new channel as well as G&G!

It's safe to say that the square body Chevys have a soft spot in my heart, afterall I do own a 77 GMC crew cab which I converted to 1/2 ton and sat right down nice and super low to the ground. Of course the list of modifications are endless and well it won't ever be for sale

The ol 💩box square body is as popular as ever. Vary good to excellent going for 3x to 5x+ as much when new. I have a 83 Silverado SWB factory Blu/Silver Blu int. crate 350 250hp 340tq 700r4 and had 81 K5 Blazer 380/350 I regret selling. Can't go too wrong with ol square vids HUGE fan base. My first vehicle was a 1966 Chevrolet truck. Fleet side, the larger rear window three speed on the column. I got it when I was 15 and it took me a year to restore it. And like an idiot I sold it about 3 1/2 years later.

I run a construction business. Light truck duty. Mostly aluminum and tools. I have been really contemplating going back to one like that. Having to drive a truck (love trucks just have no choice), I don't get to have my hotrod. If I go back to my roots ('84 Chevy) I could have the best of all worlds. Just not sure if I cam let go of the luxury of semi-modern A/C. Central Texas gets just a little on the warm side of the dial. Beautiful truck.

I have owned several square body Chevy trucks over the years. My favorite body style is the 1967-72 Chevy trucks which I also owned several. The oldest Chevy truck I owned was a 1949. I currently have a 92 C1500 standard cab long dually bed to house 33x21 M/T’s. It has a 402 Big Block, 6-71 blower, TH400 and 9” Ford rear.

Have a 73 C20 4x 4 with full time 4x4 I gave to my Son but now I have to restore it for him LoL. Myself I prefer the 88 to 96 Chevy Silverado & love my 88 GMC Sierra with 305 TBI & 700R4 trans. That's a awesome review on a truck I rode in as a kid. Love the old carb trucks. Just missing a gun rack in back window .

Had a 86 4x4 3/4 ton heavy duty. 350 four hundred transmission and 4:10 factory. Funny thing about it was it was factory lead fuel so no cads factory duel exhaust. New price out the door was 14,000. My brother has a 85 two wheel same thing
